NED Care is a new social enterprise set up to meet the social care needs of communities in north east Dartmoor.

Up until recently we ran support services to help people to find and access unregulated care.  In late 2016 however, thanks to donations from the local community, we secured enough funding to cover the start-up costs of a regulated social care agency.

On 3rd July 2017, NEDCare was approved by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)* and is now a registered service able to provide a range of support and personal care to people in the North East Dartmoor area. For greater details on what we do and who we are please see our statement of purpose

*CQC is the national body responsible for regulating and inspecting health and social care servicesAs a not-for-profit, community-led organisation we will:

  • Put the people we support at the heart of what we do;
  • Deliver flexible, responsive and person centred services of the highest quality;
  • Focus on the employment of local carers under the best possible terms and conditions;
  • Build an engaged and committed workforce to deliver excellent care services.

If you want care or support for yourself, a friend or relative, or would like to find out more about jobs and other opportunities to get involved, please get in touch via the Contact page.
